Simon Sigaard Christiansen is Nature Interpreter and Head of Skagen Bird Observatory
When the Observatory opened in 2017 I got appointed by Birdlife Denmark to be the Head of Skagen Bird Observatory. I have a degree as a teacher and later also nature interpreter. Formerly I worked as a volunteer at various bird observatories in the world. I have been a birdwatcher since kindergarten and clearly remember the first time I was able to identify a bird species. It was a Great Tit in a tree in our garden, which started a lifelong passion. The presentation of nature and the bird observatories has been a matter very near to my heart for a long time, so I am very pleased and grateful that I thorough this work can concentrate upon presenting the knowledge of birds and nature, giving visitors in Skagen and our volunteers new experiences.
