Coolest morning of the season !!!

Today, it was one of the coolest morning of the season !! We were all together at Kabeltromlen for the ringing and the observation. Frederik and Bjørn where observing for the tour day (we had to count the most species for the day and it is a competition  with other people in Denmark). In total they get 92 species with the first Oriol (Pirol) and Trush Nightingale (Nattergal)  for the season but also Northern-diver (Islom), Common Swift (Mursejler), Short-eared owl (Mosehornugle), Bittern (Rørdrum), Black Kite (Sort Glente)… it was just a very nice migration morning !!!!

It was also migratory day today, so for the occasion we post some live on Facebook and celebrate it all together.

We also had a very good day at the ringing with 43 birds at Kabeltromlen, the most common species in the net this morning was the Lesser white-throat (Gærdesanger) and Willow wabler (Løvsanger) and we also get some very cool birds!! Hawfinch (Kernebider) and Wryneck (Vendehals) (the first one of the season) and a Garden warbler (Havesanger) from Spain !

Nina and Sverre were brave enought to go for a swim in the sea during the afternoon, not so cold apparently ! 

To end this very nice day we all went to the top of the lighthouse to enjoy the sunset with a drink, that was very nice!
