Television at the ringing site

mandag 4. maj 2020
af Daniel Bloche

This day was relatively calm in the ringing site but still with great observations. Today we had three Great Northern Diver (Islom) flying over Grenen, one of them quite close also over the ringing site. Besides this great observations of Divers and also Bitterns (Rørdrommer) flying several time close by, we used the calm ringing day to sew some more nets. Later on the television came to the ringing to produce a TV report about disease monitoring in birds. Therefore, Simon showed them how we collect tics from African migrants like Willow Warbler (Løvsanger). Meanwhile, Fanny and Nina had a nice and warm observation morning. Afterwards they checked the radiotelemetry antenna again. All tagged Robins have left now. In the afternoon we put up two more net lines in Grenen. So let´s see what new birds this lines will bring us tomorrow, although unfortunately Lisa and I have to leave already.
