North wind
We started the day with the a beautiful sunrise for a morning migration counting.
Today the wind was strong form North, at first, we went at the verdens ende 3 but after 30 minutes over there we figure out that it was too windy, so we had to get some shelter at the bunker on the beach. It was a quiet morning, but we had a good passage of Gannet (Sule) who was the specie we counted the most today.
We went back at the lighthouse in late morning and get some time to fix the waders (better to spend the day with dry foots) and pack the equipment for the first season of rigging at Kabeltrommelkrattet tomorrow!!
During the afternoon we went out in Skagen to do some birding at some local spot around and then we went to see the sandy church which is a pretty place.
Simon opened the lighthouse tonight for Leif and Lisbeth to enjoy the experience even if it’s close on this time… So we joined them and went to the top of the lighthouse during the night, it’s quite an experience to be up there during the night even more beautiful then the day for me but also very cold and windy !
