Our first House martin in the nets

Megan and Hanelie went to open the nets. As Megan had a meeting early she was then replaced by Leona.
They ringed with Oluf and got a few nice birds. A House martin (Bysvale), a 1k Lesser white throat (Gærdesanger), a few 1k Crested tits (Topmejse) and an adult male Redpoll (Lille Gråsisken) visited the nets. Our guests joined the ringing and were very interested.
On their way back they picked a lot of elder flowers as I am planning on making lemonade and Leona wants to try a syrup. My morning was spent on the laptop to send an application.In the afternoon Megan and Hanelie worked in the birders club, we have great plans for it and we want the place to be more welcoming. So don't hesitate to come and visit in the next days !
Leona and I spent some time checking all our pictures from yesterday, we are quite happy with the result. And Hanelie entered the ringing data.
I also backed some cookies, without following any recipe because I lost mine, but they turned out fine ! Leona cooked for us in the evening, and as we are not ringing tomorrow we are going to enjoya nice late morning, and play wingspan again :)
Simon is preparing a summer plan for us because he will be on vacation soon !
