Nature Exploration
This morning Hanelie and Manuel went to Verdens Ende 1 to do the morning observation. They had nice company of birders there and a good variety of species. They saw at least 2 Great Skuas, 2 Black Guillemots, 3 Great Northern Divers and a Citrine Wagtail.
I went to the beach because it was really warm outside, while Alice continued to send out applications for universities. Around ten the both of us worked on methods to catch and ring Raptors. Around this time we said goodbye to our guests Lisbeth and Vilhelm, we had a nice time with them. :)
- Alice happy to be outdoors
- The Wren I took a nice picture of
- Me at Batteriskoven with my camera
Afterwards Hanelie, Alice and I decided to use this quite free day to go to Batteriskoven and took the cameras with us. We saw a lot of different butterfly species, lizards, frogs and of course birds. I went after a Wren(Gærdesmutte) to get nice pictures of it. After that I got to see my first Golden Eagle and Crested Tit! We also saw a White tailed Eagle and a Pied Flycatcher.
Some time later Manuel joined us and we decided to try to find the Great Reed Warbler at the Cormorant Lake. We couldn't see it but Manuel said that he heard it.
At 5 pm our new guests Søren and Karen Marie arrived and helped Hanelie with the cooking.
Have a nice evening,
Leona.
