Another Diver Delivers
This morning myself and Knud went observing and started off the day with a bang with a White-billed diver (Hvidæbbet Lom) early on in the session. The Horned larks (Bjerglærke) from yesterday continued to show well in front of Wold’s End 3 once again, however, the total number of birds dropped significantly after the first hour. Despite the low number of bird we were treated with a couple of Caspain gulls (kaspisk måge) later on in the session.
The others went ringing with Oluf and Simon but also didn’t see high numbers. After the session most of us went out to look for some Red Crossbills (Lille Kornsæb) near ElleKrattet and we were rewarded with great views.
Unfortunately, another weak Guillemot (Lomvie) was brought to us today, which we have fed some fish in the hope of release tomorrow; fingers crossed for the best result for the bird.
Another day of ringing and observing awaits tomorrow.
