Jack Snipe and Chiffchaff session
Yesterday during the evening, Angela and Simon went night catching to catch some Jack Snipes (Enkeltbekkasin). After one hour and a half walking in reed bed with a thermal binocular, they finally caught one!
This morning the weather was too bad to go observing or ringing: everyone slept a bit more and had the time to enter some last data.
This afternoon, we had a session about Chiffchaffs (Gransanger): What species and subspecies can we see here at Skagen, and how can we recognize them. The second part was more about aging Chiffchaff by founding the moult limit.
Despite the bad weather, Robbie, Charlotte and Augustin went out for a walk and do some bird watching!
