A wide variety of birds today
Augustin’s day began at midnight when he was woken up by Anders who told him that we captured another Storm petrel! It was a recapture from Norway and there was a looooot of birdwatchers who joined us at midnight at the station to share our joy and admiration for the bird:
I was unfortunately sick today and yesterday evening, but I did however pressure myself last night to see the storm petrel – it was a really big experience. In the morning when Augustin and I woke up to close the nets, a Sanderling was caught and we ringed it before we closed the nets.
Augustin and Lisa ringed today and got two jays, and they even got caught in the same round at two different nets!
